Military Equipment and
Vehicle Reset Programs
The Military RESET process takes used vehicles
and equipment apart, inspects the parts, then replaces any defective parts and refurbishes the equipment to like-new
condition. Upgrades are performed as required.
Military RESET and related processes like
remanufacture-upgrades are being performed on
Abrams tanks, Bradley IFV/CFVs,
HMMWV, and various support equipment.
The Military Reset programs start when the equipment returns from the front
lines of Iraq, Afghanistan, and other locations,
where sand damage has increased wear. A lot of this
equipment was manufactured in the 1980s, and is reaching the age where
extensive maintenance is a necessary measure.
