Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System (JEDMICS)

Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System is a Department of Defense initiative for the management and control of Government engineering drawings and related text in a standard repository.

The Joint Engineering Data Management Information and Control System has developed an on-disk process and format for input and output of engineering drawing data to JEDMICS to support Government  business processes.

The JEDMICS on-disk process and format has been coordinated with the JEDMICS community.

Applied to the business process, CDs represent a relatively inexpensive media, have mass storage capacity, and are easily transportable.

Sites will be provided software to implement use of CDs for input and output of JEDMICS data between sites, development and issuance of Bid Sets, and receipt of electronic contract deliverables from industry.
