Definition -
Marketing Partner Identification Number
Description - The MPIN
is a self-created access code that will be shared with authorized
partner applications [e.g.,
Past Performance Information Retrieval
System (PPIRS), Online Representations and Certifications
Application (ORCA), etc.] It must be nine characters long and
include at least one letter, one number, and no spaces or special
characters.
Where to find the right one for your company. The MPIN code must be requested from CCR and is not given automatically.
TPIN*
Definition - Trading
Partner Identification Number
Description - The
Trading Partner Identification Number (or TPIN) is a
confidential number assigned to organizations which are or intend to
be
contractors to the
Federal Government of the United States. It is issued by the
Central Contractor Registration (CCR) of the
Department of Defense. Contractors are consistently advised by
CCR to treat the TPIN as if it were a password, and not to reveal it
to others not directly involved in their business operations.

Certification Program Certification
Description - A Joint
Certification Program certification is required by U.S. or Canadian
contractors wanting to obtain access to unclassified technical data
drawings disclosing militarily critical technology with military or
space application that is under the control of, or in the possession
of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) or the Canadian Department
of National Defense.

Definition - Commercial
and Government Entity Code
Description - Unique
Identifier assigned by Department of Defense. Five-character
alphanumeric value, no spaces. Must be in uppercase format. It is
not necessary to have a CAGE Code before registration.
Where to find the right one for your company - If you do not already
have a CAGE Code, click
here and one will be assigned to you upon activation of
your CCR record.
NCAGE Code
Definition - North
Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) CAGE Code
Description - Unique
Identifier assigned by Department of Defense.
Five-character alphanumeric value, no spaces. Must be in uppercase
format. It is required for all foreign vendors working for a
department under the Department of Defense umbrella.
