current DD 2345.
I. Export Control Warning Notice:
May be used in conjunction with any distribution statements listed below.
Does not apply to Distribution Statement A. Technical data can only be
distributed to contractors who have a current
DD 2345, Militarily Critical
Technical Data Agreement on file with
Defense Logistics Information Service
(DLIS). Technical data that are export-controlled must be marked with an
export control warning notice. This statement identifies technical data
which the DoD will withhold from public release using authority in
10 U.S.C.
130. The Government�s right to use, modify, reproduce, release, perform,
display, or disclose such technical data are restricted for the
Contractor/their subsidiaries/or sub-contractors� at every level. Any
reproduction of technical data or portions thereof marked with these legends
must also reproduce these legends on such technical data.
II. Non Disclosure Agreement (may be required for Limited Distribution B, C,
D, E, F, or X):
Contractors must send the Contract Specialist the Non-Disclosure Agreement
in order to receive TDP. Used in conjunction with License Agreements and
possibly used with any distribution statements listed below. The
Government�s right to use, modify, reproduce, release, perform, display, or
disclose such technical data are restricted for the Contractor/their
subsidiaries/or sub-contractors� at every level. Any reproduction of
technical data or portions thereof marked with these legends must also
reproduce these legends on such technical data.
DEFINITION OF DISTRIBUTION STATEMENT CODES:
1. Distribution Statement A
This is approved for public release
distribution is unlimited.

Distribution is limited to US Government
agencies only; other requests shall be referred to the controlling DOD
office.
Reasons for selection of Distribution B:
- Foreign Government Information - limits distribution according to the
desires of the foreign government that furnished the technical information.
- Proprietary Information - protects information not owned by the US Govt
and protected by a contractor's "limited rights" statement, or received with
the understanding that it not be routinely transmitted outside the US
Government.
- Test and Evaluation - protects results of test and evaluation of
commercial products or military hardware when such disclosure may cause
unfair advantage or disadvantage to the manufacturer of the product.
- Contractor Performance Evaluation - protects information in management
reviews, records of contract performance evaluation, or other advisory
documents evaluating programs of contractors.
- Critical Technology - protects information and technical data the
advanced current technology or describes new technology in an area of
significant, or potentially significant military application, or that relate
to a specific military deficiency of a potential adversary.
- Premature Dissemination - protects information on systems or hardware in
the developmental or conceptual stage to prevent premature disclosure that
might jeopardize the inventor's right to obtain a patent.
- Software Documentation - protects software documentation and data
releasable only under specific regulations.
- Administrative or Operational Use - protects technical or operational
data or information from automatic dissemination under the International
Exchange Program (IEP) or by other means. This protection covers
publications required solely for official use or strictly for administrative
or operational purposes.
- Specific Authority - protects information not specifically included in
the above reasons, but which requires protection according to valid
documented authority such as Executive Orders (EOs), classification
guidelines, or regulatory documents.

3. Distribution Statement C:
Distribution is authorized to US Government
agencies and their contractors; other requests for this document shall be
referred to the controlling DOD office.
Reasons for assigning Distribution
Statement C:
- Foreign Government Information - Same as distribution statement B.
- Software Documentation - Same as distribution statement B.
- Critical Technology - Same as distribution statement B.
- Administrative or Operational Use - Same as distribution statement B.
- Specific Authority - Same as distribution statement B.

4. Distribution Statement D:
Shall be used to authorize distribution of technical documents to DoD
components and their contractors.
Reasons for assigning Distribution Statement D.
- Foreign Government Information - Same as distribution statement B.
- Software Documentation - Same as distribution statement B.
- Critical Technology - Same as distribution statement B.
- Administrative or Operational Use - Same as distribution statement B.
- Specific Authority - Same as distribution statement B.

5. Distribution Statement E:
Shall be used to authorize distribution of technical documents to DoD
components only.
Reasons for selecting Distribution Statement E.
- Direct Military Support - the document contains export-controlled
technical data or such military significance that release for purposes other
than direct support of DoD-approved activities may jeopardize an important
technological or operational military advantage for the United States.
Designation of such data is made by competent authority in accordance with
DoD Directive 5230.25.
- Premature Dissemination - Same as distribution statement B.
- Critical - Same as distribution statement B.
- Foreign Government - Same as distribution statement B.
- Proprietary Information - Same as distribution statement B.
- Test and Evaluation - Same as distribution statement B.
- Contractor Performance - Same as distribution statement B.

- Administrative or Operational Use - Same as distribution statement B.

6. Distribution Statement F:
Shall be used to signify that all distribution
of technical document is to be determined by the controlling DOD office.

- Special Dissemination and Reproduction - Same as distribution statement

7. Distribution Statement X:
(Order TDP Online here) Distribution is
authorized to US government organizations and private individuals or
enterprises eligible to obtain export-controlled technical data in
accordance with DoD Directive 5230.25. The I. Export Control Warning Notice
always applies for Distribution Statement X.
Reasons for selecting Distribution Statement X.
- When distribution statements: B, C, D, E, or F do not apply.
- Unclassified technical data subject to export-control laws for reasons
other than critical technology.
